5 questions everyone asks before their first tarot reading

First-time readers have lots of questions. Here are the five the Goblin Office hears most.

1. How many times a day can I read?

There is no limit, but we suggest asking the same question once a day. Redrawing until you like the answer means hunting for what you want to hear.

2. Can I ask the same question again?

Yes, if things have changed. When a few days pass and your feelings or situation shift, ask again with a slightly different question: instead of "will they text?", try "how would it go if I reached out now?"

3. Can tarot show someone else's feelings?

Cards do not settle what another person feels. They can show what you need to understand from their behaviour and the flow between you. Asking about your next step helps far more than asking about their heart.

4. What if I get a bad card?

The Tower, Death or the Ten of Swords are not a bad future; they point to where you need to look now. Use them as a prompt to decide what to clear away and what to prepare.

5. Is tarot actually accurate?

Tarot does not decide the future; it is closer to a mirror that helps you sort out your thoughts. What comes to mind as you look at a card is often the answer you need.

If it is your first time

Write one question and lay out seven cards. Each position has its own meaning, so it is easy to read even as a beginner.

Column readings are a reference for your own thinking. They do not decide the future or what someone else feels.
