"My ex suddenly texted me." "I dreamed about all my exes." These stories are everywhere right now, and Western astrology has an explanation it likes: Venus retrograde.
What is Venus retrograde?
It is a stretch when Venus appears to move backwards from Earth's point of view. In astrology Venus rules love, relationships and values, so this period is read as a time to revisit past relationships. In 2026 it begins around October 3 in Scorpio and ends around November 13 in Libra (sources and time zones differ by about a day).
The planets do not make anyone text you. But in a season when old faces drift back into your mind, it is a good moment to sort out how you feel.
