Probably the previous year’s sign. With the Lunar New Year rule, anyone born before that year’s New Year belongs to the year before; with Ipchun, anyone born before about February 4. Enter your full birthday above to compare both.

Which is right, Lunar New Year or Ipchun?

Both are used. Everyday conversation often uses Lunar New Year, while saju and zodiac forecasts, which read the energy of the year, use Ipchun. For forecasts, use your Ipchun sign.

What does the colour or element before my sign mean?

Each year also carries one of ten heavenly stems, which gives it an element and a colour: Wood (blue-green), Fire (red), Earth (yellow), Metal (white) and Water (black). 2027 is the year of the Red (Fire) Goat.

Which animal is 2027?
